NEW AGENTS FOR DOOSAN DAEWOO |
Since 1978 Ful-Ton Fork Lifts have been supplying new and used forklifts & electric vehicles. In this period the family-owned and family-run business have supplied various types of forklifts to industries throughout the UK. During the last 29 years Ful-ton have been recognised for its reliability, performance range, keen pricing and flexibility of approach.
In January 2007 Ful-Ton were appointed as a regional distributor for Doosan-Daewoo fork lift trucks. The oldest company in Korea and one of the largest infrastructure businesses in the world, Doosan recently purchased a controlling stake in the Daewoo Fork Lift division from the Korean government. Doosan paid $1.7 billion for the company and has pledged a series of substantial investments beginning with increased promotion of the forklifts under the Doosan-Daewoo brand name.
With the support and resources of Doosan and a network of 24 regional distributors in the UK and NI, as well as over 80 different truck models available to customers, we feel this an excellent product all-round. |

| THOROUGH EXAMINATIONS ARE A STATUTORY REQUREMENT |
All our engineers have now been fully trained and are competent to carry out inspections on all types of lifting equipment.
A “thorough examination” is a safety inspection similar to an MOT for a car. It is intended to:-
Establish that the truck can continue to operate with safety & without injury to operators
Verify that the truck is operating as intended to when lifting & travelling
Identify defects or weaknesses which could compromise the safe use of the truck
Specify the time-scale within which identified defects or weaknesses need to be rectified
Establish that defects identified in previous reports have received attention
Assess the correct function of all safety devices
Check that warning notices are correctly fixed & legible
Where necessary specify any limitations on the use of the truck
The Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulation 1998 (LOLER) - Regulation 9 requires the "Thorough Examination & Inspection of lifting equipment at the statutory intervals"
Regulation 9 (ACOP9) : Every employer should ensure that their lifting equipment is thoroughly examined for any defect to ensure that health & safety conditions are maintained & that any deterioration can be detected & remedied properly. An examination should be carried out by an impartial & competent person with practical & theoretical knowledge & experience of the lifting equipment involved.
Thorough examinations may be needed at several points during the lift of lifting equipment, on initial use or following installation, periodically during its life & following certain exceptional circumstances (accidents etc) |
